Recently I got some advertisment paper send to my house stating Funan is having a sale during 7th to 10th of August. I was actually looking out for a cheap mp3 player. I realise that psp is not a mp3 player solution. It’s too big lar. Good for watching drama and video. But too big for mp3 player. Sometimes like want go outing also lazy bring bag. Or go jogging impossible take one bag mah. Looks damn stupid lor.. LOL.

And thus I saw this wonderful product call Samsung K3-YP 8gb mp3 player (Black colour) selling for $149 only lor for this sale. Quite worth it lor. Show you all some pictures… [All photos taken from lesterchan.net]

Touch sensitive button. Nice right? The size is like 10% bigger than Ipod nano only lor. Damn small.

Summary:
Pros

• Sound equalizer is a very good feature to have
• Sound quality is definitely better than iPod
• User interface is some what similar to iPod
• It is as thin/small as iPod Nano
• Uses drag and drop via Windows Explorer instead of some crappy applications *cough* iTunes *cough* SonicStage.

Cons

• Songs are listed by file names instead of by artists/albums/songs
• I think the headphone wire is a little to long for comfort.
• For some reasons, the file browser does not detect pictures or text files whereas when I use the main menu to access them I am able to do so.
• OLED screen not as sharp but power saving

I really don’t like the negative point of how the songs are listed by file names instead of from the mp3 tag file. But if you are still interested go read the review. I personally think I can live with all those con points. This mp3 player is really selling at a good price at this sales event.

I think its very worth it for mp3 player. But this one cannot play video lar. Nano and Zen can. But I just need a simple mp3 player for now. I most probably head down Funan this week to buy it. Hope still got stock. No stock I will just buy a Creative Zen Stone… LOL. The small rock pebble looking mp3 player. LOL.

Comes with 6 standard colours to choose from. Got red leh. Looks nice. Orange also not bad. Or you can choose black. Very matching with the black glossy keyboard. LOL.

And got one special bamboo colour. Made out of real bamboo. Singapore Dell as of point of writing never provide this version. Sad. Actually I think this one quite cool also. =(

It’s quite a eye candy. But the specs a bit not powerful la. If you choose dell other type of ugly cpu casing desktop hor, similiar specs I think around $1000 have liao. So you paid extra $500 for style nia. It’s a bit not worth it la. But still I am being poisoned.  

Oh, and dell have another new toy. It’s out at other country this month. I hope Singapore have it soon. Introducing Dell Vostro 2510 laptop…

For laptop with graphics card at that price is not bad already. But they always sell cheaper at US… maybe is US is like super big compared to us. So I can expect Dell SG to sell it like around $1.5k? But the design quite nice. Sexy red hot pants. LOL.

So many new toys I want to buy. But no money to afford. Sad. Poison are everywhere. LOL.

Time for some SIC (Sharing Is Caring). One lam nua thing about NS is the phone right? You need to buy a non-camera phone right? But 7-11 have what. Right? Right? Yes… you are right. But those design are usually not nice right? Right? So today I am going to intro a quite nice looking non-camera phone for all my sad male frens going for 2 years chalet soon.

Introducing Motorola W270. Very nice clam shell design. Except the screen looks a bit square. LOL.

This phone is very sick. It’s running window media player 11 as a mp3 playing software. And it support up to 2gb memory card. And its only selling for SGD$109 without any contract at Iposh. Iposh shop is at sunshine plaza now… Just a few blocks away from sim lim square. You can read the offical specifications here.

But I read local HWZ forum got one guy say the mp3 quality is lousy for a music phone. Foreign forum also very little info on this phone. Except another guy also say the mp3 playing is below average. I was intending to either buy a mp3 player or buy this phone so I can listen to mp3 on my way to Tekong. From Yishun to tampines around 30 to 45mins of journey. Then transfer to pasir ris also need another 10 mins. 1 hours plus of journey is quite boring without mp3 you know. LOL.

But sadly this phone’s mp3 seems cannot make it. But if you guys just want a nice looking phone, I think this phone is quite nice, compared to most of the 7-11 phone and those below $100 phone.

Anyway, I found a video review on youtube on this phone. But sadly its in foreign language. Italian I think. But never mind, you can roughly see how this phone looks and how the User Interface looks like…

Recently my laptop is becoming more and more emo. Sometimes it will auto restart a few times. So I have decided to start to look for a new PC. Most probably not getting another laptop. Last time bought a laptop because can bring to school. Now I already got my cert. And the next time I step into school is 2 years later after my NS liao. So won’t get a laptop for now.

Since nowadays I seldom play game, mostly watching drama and surfing web, I thought I will just find some cheap PC. But I am using my old study table with my laptop now. So if I change to a PC, I have to make sure it is light weight so that I can place it on my table. I have no space to put my cpu below my table. No space beside my table also. So die die must be on the table it self. And I found this new product…

↑ Asus EeeBox.

↑ The whole Asus EeeBox is only this big. Volume is 1 Litre. It’s like a size of a book only lor. And it’s actually quite stylish.

↑ The lime-green brouche is blocking the EeeBox. You see the EeeBox so small. So sexy. Piano black leh. Glossy type. I love glossy surface. LOL.

↑ The amazing thing is the price. $439 only. They having a road show which will have a promotion where you buy the EeeBox with 19inch Asus monitor, they give you free keyboard and mouse. Means you get the whole complete working PC for $699 only.

The specs for Eeebox is :

If you notice, they have Wifi 802.11n inside it. N is the latest and the fastest. More importantly, wireless is one of the problem I considered when I am planning to get a new PC. Because my current laptop have wireless built-in liao so no need worry about it. But once I get a PC, I still need to buy wireless adapter. And some of the cheap PC I saw doesn’t include Window XP inside. So you still need to buy wireless adapter and Window XP which will cost you additional $150 to $200.

Although the specs is below average, most probably you can’t do programming and 3D modelling on it. But watching drama, listen to mp3, surf web should be ok. But after I went to read the review from anandtech.com, I nearly cry.

 
↑ Benchmark for EeeBox. Green colour bar is Eeebox. Using the newest Atom cpu at 1.6ghz. And yet it lose to Pentium M “Dothan” 1.6ghz lor. Pentium M is cpu on those laptop 2 years plus ago to 3 years. So EeeBox lose to something that is 2 to 3 years old is simply super super disappointing.

Don’t think can do much programming on it lor. Complie the codes might need to wait for a long time. Photoshop maybe need open very long too. But if you all everyday just surf web, msn chat, listen to mp3, watch drama should be ok lar.

I still considering want to buy or not. Most probably not buying ba. Although my laptop is a bit emo. Recently she tame down a bit liao. Not so emo. I predict still can use like 1 year plus before she emo and commit sucide. So don’t waste money now la. The EeeBox is really stylish. But I maybe will still do some light programming and photoshop and flash. So better don’t get such lousy cpu. Wait complie codes need wait 1 hour I will snap.

That day went to PC show 2008 with J-san and he wanted to buy a brand new pair of speaker, the Altec Lansing MX5021. End up PC show don have it. Tio owned. So we head down to Sim Lim to shee shee rook rook and we found it. I ask J-san to GPGT and show me the peektures… lol.

SD Gundam are actually Super Deformed Gundam. Joseph showed me some of his San Guo SD Gundam collection which have character like Guan Yu and some other character. I am not very familiar with San Guo story… But at least I have heard most of their name before when playing Dynasty Warrior… LOL. Anyway, he got me interested into SD Gundam…

All of them looks so cute yet quite detailed. As for the price I not sure whether Singapore is selling or not thus I am going to search for it. The online website that I went to seems like never update much liao. Most probably close down liao… LOL. But roughly sure cosr around SGD$20 to $30 per Gundam. Figurine collecting hurts the wallet a lot. But I am deeply poison… LOL. Need… to…. get…. my…. hands…. on… SD…. gundams…. X_X   LOL.

Ichigo’s sword I have one. I bought it from Comics Connection. And the price was less than $10. And I realise the key ring for the keychain is different from the one in the picture. The packaging is also different. Most probably I got the pirated one… LOL. Hai~~. That time I was young so got conned into getting pirated one… LOL.

But I have been poison by Hitsugaya’s sword. Anybody who is so rich and dunno where to spend your cash… buy that for me and shun bian buy the Ichigo one for me… Thanks  =X    LOL.

Assassin’s Creed 7″ Action Figure: Altair

I have been deeply poisoned by this figurine. That time WH bought it and I saw the photos. It’s quite detailed. $23 is not very expensive. But problem lies with I don’t have place to display it. Most probably need get a cabinet or something to display it.

But a cabinet will be quite big. Put one figurine very empty. So eventually I will buy more. But then, I will be spending a few hundred dollars on many plastic figurine which maybe I will just take one look everytime I return home.

As I stuggle to think whether its worth it to start collecting figurines, play-asia had sold out the figurine… AGAIN. The first time I wanted to ordered but it was sold out. Yesterday WH told me its on sale again so I was struggling whether I should get it or not. End up sold out liao. Forget it. Things that are not meant to be yours will never be yours. I saved $23 today. LOL.
